Nadeshiko

First time I wanna ask you is "d'you notice SEIBU Department store's logo on the sleeves of this geisha?"

Well, I made this picture for my illustration class. I had to make mascot from any company. Then, I chose SEIBU Department store. This mascot represent the characteristic of SEIBU; elegance and luxurious. I used red and gold colors because those are colors of SEIBU Department store. I used color markers for the coloring; I think it's pretty good ^^

Geisha

I love Japan. I really want to visit Japan, but after Venice, of course, HA-HA. I love the tradition, the fabric of kimono, patterns, events, everything traditional, everything modern, I love JAPAN. This is a picture of two geishas with their daily yukata. The hand sleeves are full of patterns. I made this picture using color markers.

For me, geisha is a symbol of beautiful Japan. Oh, I wonder when I can fly to Japan.

Character Styles

I was trying to find out how to make many kinds of character style; realist, semi-realist, manga style, and chibi style. I found it was a little bit hard to find the specific differences. I am still trying to find the easiest way. I tried to make differences on hair, eyes, shading, and strokes. So, what d'you think?

Looking for The Way Out

I'd love to make a sketch of woman's body. I was down and feeling a little bit boring when I made this. This is the expression of my feeling..Looking for the way out; I felt I was trapped and couldn't do anything. All I had were a pack of pencils and a sketch book.

A Village in a Wood

This is really a fantasy for me. I wish there was a village like this, with a simple fountain in the center. There would gonna be a lot of laundry hanging from windows. It must be wonderful.

Beauty and The Beast

This is an artwork I made in my spare time. I used 2B pencil. This is the first time I made sketch of wolf. I had to look around the library only to get a tutorial of how to make wolf. HA-HA! I made the princess wear ballet shoes; I really love ballet. Well, I can't do ballet, but I'd love to! ( But it's impossible, isn't it?)

Untitled

I don't know what to say about this artwork. Technically, I used pencils. Maybe this is just an expression of my loneliness because I made this while waiting my boyfriend to come back from work.

Digital Coloring with Photoshop

I am also learning how to color with photoshop (brush). This is the first time I did!
What do you think? I hope I can do better next time, HA-HA.

Character Exploring

These are the process of my study about characters. I am still learning how to make differences between one character to another.

Water Colored Characters

These are characters for my 2D class too, just like Kliya. They are all super villains (HA-HA). I really love to design female character. I used watercolor to color the characters; it's much more easier and faster than using colorer pencils.

Character Design with Colored Pencils

I made this character for my 2D Character Class in April 2010. The name of the character is Kliya. I really love Final Fantasy X-2, and this character is inspired by Riku. I am not sure Kliya looks like Riku (thank GOD). Their characters are different.

Classical Clara

These photographs are made for my photography class. The theme is classical music. I tried to make them look classical, elegant, but also relaxing, like classical music. I used Nikon D4o with 18-55 mm lens.

The Tulips

The Tulips is the title of this watercolor artwork.
I made this in February 2010, after finishing The Little Guitarist.
I made this for my mom because she loves flowers so much.

A Little Guitarist

A Little Guitarist is the title of this watercolor artwork. I made this in February 2010. This work represents my little brother Aria. He loves to sing and dance and pretend to be a guitarist.

The Wishes

I made these works in July 2009. These are my first watercolor works that look really nice. Before that, I couldn't use watercolor for coloring. The first picture is titled "7 Princesses" and the second picture is titled "4 Seasons Ladies of Venice". 7 Princesses is a picture about 7 little princesses who would like to play along. 4 Seasons Ladies of Venice is about 4 ladies who join the Carnival in Venice. They are wearing season costumes; Autumn, Spring, Summer, and Winter.

For me, these artworks represent my wishes of flying to Venice someday and living in a world of fairy tale.

Freshly Splased

Freshly Splashed

I made this artwork when I was studying about "Nirmana" at my art school, Institut Kesenian Jakarta, in second semester. For me, this is the first time I could draw a 3D-look plastic bottle with pencil. I used 4B pencil. For the finishing, I only and "freshly splased" for the title, using photoshop.
